The Guilty

Following a sold-out run at the Donmar, The Guilty starring Russell Tovey (The History Boys, Angels in America, Being Human, The War Between the Land the Sea) transfers to the West End. Directed by Felix Barrett (Artistic Director of Punchdrunk) and written by award-winning writer Chloë Moss, The Guilty is a visceral and “thrilling shot of theatrical adrenaline” (The Standard). Packed with psychological tension and edge-of-your-seat suspense – “no less than a white-knuckle ride” (The Guardian) with “not a moment that doesn’t grip” (The Stage). Yes, I can help you. That’s what I’m here for. Russell Tovey is troubled police officer Joe, stuck on desk duties, who takes a desperate 999 call from Emily. As he scrambles to decode fragmented clues from a woman in danger, a heart-stopping thriller unfolds. In a night filled with unsettling twists, Joe has a mounting sense that nothing is quite as it seems. Based on the film Den Skyldige written by Gustav Möller and Emil Nygaard Albertsen and presented by Sensara, Mark Rubinstein and the Donmar Warehouse Don’t miss your chance to see this “bloody good, real-time thriller” (Time Out). Opening at the Harold Pinter Theatre from 16 Jan 2027 for a strictly limited run.
