The Ugly One

“Does a flawless face exist?” Lette has everything: a successful career, a loving wife, and a brilliant invention. Then he discovers the one thing nobody dared tell him — he’s hideous. A radical operation to “resculpture the entire facial area” leads to consequences far beyond what he, or anyone else, could possibly imagine. Following the acclaimed run of *An Ideal Husband*, **Broken Nose Theatre **presents **Marius von Mayenburg’s** iconic black comedy ***The Ugly One***, directed by **Ramin Gray**. Twenty years after premiering The Ugly One at the Royal Court, Gray returns to Mayenburg’s play in a world that has fulfilled its prophecy. A razor-sharp satire about beauty, identity and self-love.
